Disease Sheikh (rahimahullah) and his death
In the last few years, diseases attacked El Cheikh (rahimahullah) a cruel attack he was getting older and skinny which led to his weakness and abandonment of few duties although he was patient and he was fighting teaching, and he also went out for el daawa until 15th Rabi3 El Awwel 1421 came. El Cheikh had a severe internal bleeding caused by an Hepatoma (hiver cancer ).
He was taken to the Revolution Public hospital in Sanaa.This call was made by the director Mohamed Abdullah Salih (rahimahullah) and all the fees were paid by him.El Cheikh felt a little bit better then he started el daawa to Allah in Sanaa those days and lessons were sent by mobiles to a lot of science centres such as: Dar el Hadith in Dammaj.
He was visited by thousands of muslims and so many responsibles.There was benefits from these visits until a soldier asked us one day: who is this Cheikh who is visited by all those people ? He thought he was a tribe leader or responsible but he did not know that he was rising to a highest position because of this knowledge:
﴿يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ﴾[المجادلة:11].
Then El cheikh was advised to continue his treatment outside Yemen.So he travelled from Yemen to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .El Cheikh Mohamed Ben Saleh Othaimin(rahimahullah) was the reason behind his entrance to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He was received by the internal Ministry of Saudi Arabia and he was visited by a huge numbers of scientists and students then he entered the king Faycal specilized hospital. Then he went to do the rituels of Omra.He stood in Djedda for a week and asked to meet Prince Nayef then he told him the truth about his sickness so the Prince advised him to continue his treatment in the U.S.A.The Prince Allah bless him offered all the fees of treatment.
Cheikh Moqbil went straigth to America on Thursday 23rd Djumada thani 1421.He stayed in New York first and then he travelled to Los Angeles west America.He stayed there several days after that he started el daawa there were so many yemenies emigrants took advantage of it.
He also did El khotba on friday and prayers, he answered incoming questions from both sutdents who were present or from calls throught mobiles.
On Monday 5th Radjab 1421 he entered to hospital which was the biggest hospital in the U.S.A. He did the tests for ten days and then they decided to do a liver implant and that El Cheikh (rahimahullah )was qualified to do this surgery,his name was written on the waiting list.
The surgery was done
After that they sat with some brothers and gave a lesson trought the phone to all the students in Sanaa, Damaj, Ma'rab.He also gave a leçon in Britain and other places in America trought internet.
Then he was treated by cauterization in the University hospital after he refused the chemotherapy because it leads to hair fall.So he stayed in this hospital for five days .
Pearls of wisdom always comme from El Cheikh (rahimahullah) : as he was waiting in the waiting room in the hospital he saw unpleasant things and naked women…he said this verse:
Allah knows we don't like you
and we don't blame you if you don't like us
And after he awoke from the surgery he sais:
Richness is useless
If death come across and squeeze your chest
After doing this surgery El cheikh Moqbil felt better, so he got to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Shawal.According to his request to perform the Pilgrimage to Mecca and it was meant for him to finish El hadj and Omra.And he had an appointment in America but he was praying not to come back there .He sais : "Death is better than getting back to America".
Allah fulfied his wish,the external ministre of America refused his return so.El cheikh chose another country which was Germany because of her mediacal advance.
In this period Cheikh health condition was getting worse because of a doctor who asked him to stop eating and drink only Zamzam water.When the doctors saw his unpleasent health condition they rushed to send him abroad to Germany after they refused his return to America.So he went on Thursday 7th Rabi thani 1422 he entered to University hospital in Bonn.He was taken immediately to emergency room after they found a lot of water in his body because he was on diet.So, they have done the necessary tests and they pulled out the water from his body.
On 16th/4/1422 a professor of this hospital and his crew came and said: according to the tests El cheikh is not qualified to the liver implant surgery also his kidnies showed weakness and it's not doing to work.And his health condition is getting worse this week and they requested his return to his country.
They called Saudian embasy.So , they gave El Cheikh and his companions visa eventhought he was between awakening and sleeping.
Muslims came to visit him from Europe mostly and he asked those who were with him to read him the book of "Riyad Esalihine" because of the benifits in it.
He asked from one of his companions to remind him of el hadith of Djaber (radhiya Allahou 3anhou) : << No one of you dies unless he thinks well in Allah >> (muslim)
And he used to say:Allah let me live if life is good for me and let me die if death is good for me.
Then he wrote his will and from his will I quote: << He wanted to be buried in Justice cemetry with Ibn Baz , Othaimin ,Ibn Hamid rahimahoum Allah
After he arrived to Djedda the ambulance took him to King's Faycal hospital,then emergency roof,then he was anaesthetized.
On wednesday 26th/4/1422 he went into constant coma.In his state of dying El Cheikh Abdul Aziz El Djuhami dictated him el chahadda in his ear his tongue moved and spelt el chahadda and smiled people around him thought he was laughing and he will talk but he was in his last moments his soul left his body to meet her Creator on Saturday after the sunset …sunday Djumada el oula 1422.He did not even reach 70 years old.He was carried to Mecca.They prayed for him in Masjid El Haram after el fadjr prayer and he was carried to Justice cemetry where so many muslims came to his funeral including : El cheikh Rabi3, Allah bless him,Cheikh Mohamed Ben Abd El Wahab el Bana,Cheikh Saleh Ben Abdullah Ben Hamid.
And here comes a closure of life which was full of good this life that gave Islam and muslims what none could give.He also left a treasure for the others who are ready to defend onto their Sunah and Religion of Allah.
Besides, he left so many students and a full library which feeds el Sunnah and publishes bocks , Dar al Hadith where they can apply to do Sunah and ask for knowledge , where also they can practise the three virtues that Mohamed (salla Allah 3alayhi wa salam) said: << If a person dies his work ends except from three "a constant charity" he left behind him Dar el hadith "or a useful knowledge" he left many books and tapes students , " and a good son who prays for him">> he left two daughters we thank Allah.We think they are from this type , especially Ommou Abdullah Aicha Allah bless her.
We consider him a martyr because his death came from an abdominal disease as the prophet Mohamed (salla Allah 3alayhi wa salam) said : << If a muslim suffers from an abdominal disease then he is a martyr>>.
All of the above order of Allah and the Almighty wanted,was better than he said:
we walked steps it was meant for us
what was meant for us will do it
Allah provides us knowledge we seek
If it does not come to us we will seek for it
If death is destined in this land
We won't die in other land but the land we were destined to die
Before that
قول الله تعالى:﴿هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ﴾[يونس:22]، ﴿وَمَا بِكُمْ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّهِ﴾[النحل:53]. )
